A post way overdue.
It’s been a long time since I have posted on this blog. I have been lurking in the comments every now and again, but I was unable to write on a frequent basis. Or at all.
There were two major events that heralded this hiatus of many months. First, I switched jobs which brought with it a change in schedule and mental focus. Personal projects also consume a lot of time and priorities have to be made.
Second I felt like the content I was writing became repetitive. Not because of my writing, more because I felt that anime as a medium became a fixed formula, making my content nearly identical, only with a different smack of paint on it within genre definitions.
In some respect it was sad that I felt unable to share my experiences with anime with my readers and discuss or enjoy the same excitement when a gem finally caught my eyes. There are many shows that have gone by which left a lasting impression and I wanted to capture and share those moments with all of you.
Another aspect was the worthiness of coming back after such a long time. I wondered if my readers were still interested in my content. Truth be told, when none posts, no viewers will notice. It’s a double edged sword.
Seeing the dedicated bloggers still posting, made me realize that I wanted to be a part of the community again. There a many posts that are overdue which deserve writing about. While for long time followers this message will be familiar, butI hope you’ll follow me along my journey through the world of anime from here on forth for as long as possible.
