Day 16 to 18 with the anime with the best animation, favorite supporting male character and favorite supporting female character.
Day 16 Anime with best animation
Hanasaku Iroha is a true spectacle for the eye. The beautiful landscapes and scenery is breathtaking. The attention to detail that P.A. Works established in this series is one of the best I’ve seen.
The combination of the story and the scenery created a real authentic atmosphere. I cannot judge if it is an accurate representation of Japan or Japanese culture, but Hanasaku Iroha created a vibe of Japan. It felt like I was transported to Japan itself through the eyes Ohana and the Inn.
Other great examples of beautiful animation are The Garden of Words and 5 centimeters per second. Yet it’s also the vibe that is transmitted to the viewer that gives Hanasaku Iroha a slight advantage over the others.
Day 17: Favorite supporting male anime character
I have literally no clue. I think I’ll go for Akio Furukawa, Nagisa’s dad in Clannad(AF). He has some good humor and comedic moments in the series. No male supporting character really stands out(probably because they are supporting and not the main characters).
Day 18: Favorite supporting female anime character
This question is also a pretty difficult one, because the supporting female characters I thought were side characters are actually main characters.
I’ll go Aragaki Ayase from Ore no Imouto. She didn’t make in the anime crush challenge, but I still think she deserves a mention in my 30 day challenge as I have a soft spot for her. Honorable mentions for Yui from Angel Beats and Shiomiya Shiori from Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai.
